Homework Nov 30 - Dec 3

Science 
For homework, individual students or teams should be completing the experiment portion of the Science Fair Project. Document by taking photos and measurements. If people are part of the experiment, remember to have them sign the permission form.

In class this week, students will write the research paper and other papers that go along with the Science Fair Project. The goal is to have the entire project complete prior to leaving for break.

Social Studies
Students should learn the states and capitals of the southwest United States.

Science Class Needs

Our science class is in need of a few reusable items so every will have materials needed when performing experiments. If you can donate any of these items, please let me know so others do not duplicate. Thank you!
We need: 

  • 6 googles
  • 12 eye droppers
  • 12 magnifying glasses
  • 24 tweezers (plastic or metal)

Homework Nov. 16 - 23, 2015

Monday, 11/16/15:
Decide on Science Fair topic. Decide on a question you want answered via your project.
Write that down to turn in on Tuesday.
(Let me know if you are working alone, with one partner, or a group of two others.
Please tell me the names of people in your group.
If you do not have a partner, but would like one, just let me know so I can pair you with someone with a similar topic.)

Tuesday, 11/17/15:
1. Start research on SF topic. (You are researching information that people already know about your topic. Keep a bibliography of sites, books, and other resources.)
2. Never Ending Water Cycle (Look in gmail unless I handed you a worksheet.)

Wednesday, 11/18/19:
1. Continue research on SF topic.
2. Hydrologic Cycle (Look in gmail unless I handed you a worksheet.)

Thursday, 11/19/15:
1. Continue research on SF topic.
2. Water Conservation (Look in gmail unless I handed you a worksheet.)
3. Parents fill out and return the EDS survey on paper coming home today.

1. Continue research for Science Fair

Read and highlight the important parts of the worksheet "Physical Properties of Matter."

Thursday (11/5/15):
Read the document sent via email and answer the questions on a separate piece of paper to turn in on Friday. The document is called "Property and Changes."
