Summer Time 2015

It has been a wonderful 2014 - 2015 school year in third grade at Neuse Charter School!

It is recommended that students work on Moby Max and IXL throughout the summer. Those accounts are available to all students on their existing accounts.  Fourth grade teachers expect you to really know the multiplication tables from 1x1 to 10x10 and for you to read every day this summer.

If you are looking for a good workbook to review third grade concepts and start fourth grade learning, you may want to purchase:

May's Math Homework

For the month of May, each student needs
(1) to work on Moby Max for 20 minutes each night. Have a piece of paper next to the computer to work out math problems.
The school code is nc1488. The password is changeme (but don't change the password)
(2) to practice drilling the multiplication facts from 1x1 to 10x10. You can do this at the dinner table, in the car, on the couch, while tossing a football, or waiting in line at the grocery store, or on Moby Max Fact Master, etc.

There is a project due Monday, May 11th called "Arrays in the Home." Instructions will come home on Monday. Your child will need a poster board for that project.

Students will be taking a Measurement Test within the week of May 4-8 on milliliters/Liters,  grams/Kilograms, and degrees Fahrenheit.

The second week of May students will be taking a cumulative Multiplication Test  involving all products less than 100 (1x1 to 10x10). Practice, practice, practice.......memorize.
